When you become a member with Urban Roots, you join a diverse group that shares a common goal to enhance the health and wealth of our community—through the education of K-5 students, development of healthy eating habits, and the establishment of a lifelong respect for the environment.

With a modest financial contribution starting at just $5 a month, you support the improvement of our youth’s education and the health of our community. We support our members and our members support us, so that together we are stronger, wiser, and more capable of affecting change.
How Your Contributions Sow the Seeds for Change
Your gift will plant seeds of change in the minds of young people throughout northern Nevada and beyond. Our campers and school gardeners will nurture these seeds into fruits and vegetables, and use them to prepare healthy meals for themselves and their families. Revenue generated by our membership program will be directed into the Annual Fund for: infrastructure, supplies, scholarships, and more - fueling all of the transformative education activities that take place at the Urban Teaching Farm and at our partner schools.
